The Month of March

I wont be able to get in very often in March which is quite sad and here are the reasons:

I am a House Captain this year and our House Dance is coming up so I have to organise that.

International Womens Day is coming up too. My school celebrates it for a week with all different kinds of activities and I am on the committee and in charge of fundraising activities.

I do art as a subject and we are going away on an Art Camp for a weekend.

My yr12 ball is on the 30th March. Goes till Midnight. After-party goes till 4.30am.

Then I have one day before I leave for America with my boyfriend and his family for 2 weeks.

I arrive home the day I go back to school at 8.30am so I have to go for a couple of hours.

Plus I have yr 12 work to do. I might be complaining but really it is a lot to do.

I'm done ranting now. I went to Little Britian Live last night so my next post will be about that.

Coldplay Review

Ok, last night (3/7/06) myself and three friends went to see Colplay's Twisted Logic Tour. It was their last show in Melb. I'm not a huge fan of them but man was I blown away.

We were in the standing area, so we got there pretty early and that certainly paid off. There were two rows between us and the stage, we did not realise how close we were until we could read what kind of Fender the guitarist was playing.

Anyway the support band was Youth Group, I was expecting 3 songs which werent much good and then they'd play 'Forever Young'. But I was so wrong. They were amazing! I'm deffinately going out and buying their cd now.

Then Coldplay came on, the crowd just went wild. When they played 'Yellow' all these huge yellow balloons came down and they were filled with strips of gold, so pretty! Two of the balloons went up on stage and Chris Martin (the lead singer) jumped on top of them, breaking them. He then got up and at the end of the song said "Let me give you a bit of advice, never jump on big yellow balloons infront of 10,000 people, it hurts like f***"

They werent on for very long and when they did go off everyone wanted an encore so the came back on and did another 3-4 songs.

Overall it was a fantastic evening and I would give the tour a 9.8/10

What's Been Happening in the World of Hol?

Ok whats been happening in the world of Hol lately:

I've had exams, I dont mind the exams, just the places they are held. The first day of my exams we were in the hall, this is a big room with no heating what so ever. Everyone had their blazers (which arent easy to write in) and scarves on. Then the rest of the days, we had them in another smaller room called the Ferguson because of building (we are building a new VCE centre, not long till we move in) and in that room, they had the heaters on and it was far too hot! There is also no way to get the heat out of that room once its in there. Then one of my exams that went for and hour and a half, our whole class was done in 40mins and we couldnt leave! grrrrr..... Oh well, they are all over now.

I'm getting ready for holidays, its been a very long term. 4 days and then 2 weeks of relaxing even though I will have to do work.

Also my friend and I are counting down the days until our Coldplay concert on the 3rd of July, we cant wait.

Anyway thats all I can think of at the moment....I'll write more as it comes

Well ok my name is Holly and I'm 16 from Mentone which is around the beach in Melbourne. I'm in year 11 and play the guitar (badly) and I also play basketball for two teams.

Ok onto Queen...
Why do I like Queen? Well I find that there are no real rock bands any more. Can you name a band from this time that you will be able to name in 46 years? Well thats how long people have been able to name the Beatles for.
Anway, I have always been brought up listening to music from 60's, 70's and 80's with my dad and love that music. Then mum saw the WWRY cast at party at the palace and suggested that we go see it, so before we went I had known bo rhap (from waynes worlds) and we will rock you, another one bites the dust and we are the champions, so dad gave me the greatest hits. I loved it! Then we saw the musical and I loved that as well. We saw it twice in Melbourne and once in London. By the time I saw it in London, I was totally obsessed with Queen.
When I was in London, I walked past 1 Logan Place. It was an amazing house just from what I could see.
Now I am totally obsessed and loving and appreciating Queen more and more everyday. I talk about them all the and all my friends are now sick of it, oh well.
I love all the members but especially Brian and Freddie. They are all amazing people and great performers. I wish that I had been alive to see them truely together, but unfortunatley that wont happen. Queen + PR is the last chance I will see anyone from Queen perform so please make this happen because I know so many people that would go.

Also thank you Isis and IF for all your hard work and determination for this cause. You are stars
